Start with your own conduct

What do you ask of others that you are not yet keeping yourself?

A leadership role does not create self-leadership. Lead You First starts with the gap between your expectations and your own conduct, then turns it into a standard you can practise and review.

  • A Personal Standard, not a slogan
  • One daily practice, tracked for 30 days
  • Time, word and money tested against priorities
  • A rhythm you can keep after the course

Learn it. Practise it. Keep it.

How it works

The recorded lesson teaches. The live session gives you room to practise and test.

  1. Notice the gap

Take a private Personal Leadership Score and name where your own conduct falls short of your expectations.

  2. Put a standard into practice

Work in your Participant Workbook. Build a daily practice, use a pause under pressure and review a real commitment.

  3. Keep the rhythm going

Bring the work together in a capstone portfolio and 90-day plan. Retake your score at Day 30 and join an online Day 90 check-in.

What you will learn

Self-leadership you can show.

You leave with evidence of your practice, not only an intention to change.

  • A Personal Standard

Up to five commitments tied to your values and observable behaviour.

  • A daily practice

An if–then plan, a cue and a 30-day tracker, with a way to return after a miss.

  • Steadiness under pressure

A pause routine, an energy map and a structured review of a setback.

  • An operating rhythm

A commitments log, a named challenger and a 90-day leadership plan.

The curriculum

Nine sessions. Four phases.

Session 0 and eight modules, followed by a Day 30 review.

01 Notice Session 0 and Module 1

  • Session 0

    Welcome, boundaries and baseline

Understand the programme, agree the boundaries and take your baseline Personal Leadership Score.

  • Module 1

    The unmanaged leader: self-awareness

Name a gap between what you expect of others and what you do yourself.

02 Standard Modules 2 and 3

  • Module 2

    Values into standards

Write a Personal Standard of up to five commitments, each tied to a value and an observable behaviour.

  • Module 3

    Self-discipline and habits

Install one daily practice with an if–then plan and track it for 30 days.

03 Steady Modules 4 to 6

  • Module 4

    Energy and emotional self-management

Map your energy across a fortnight and use a pause routine to respond rather than react.

  • Module 5

    Focus and decisions

Test commitments of time, word and money against your priorities. Decline or renegotiate one.

  • Module 6

    Resilience

Review a setback, name one adjustment and choose a recovery practice.

04 Keep Modules 7 and 8

  • Module 7

    Accountability and integrity

Use a commitments log and a named challenger to examine how well you keep your word.

  • Module 8

    Your personal operating rhythm

Build a personal operating rhythm and a 90-day plan, then prepare for your Day 30 score retake.

Day 30 review: retake your Personal Leadership Score privately, compare it with your baseline and make one correction to your 90-day plan.

Questions

When does it launch?

Lead You First launches for sale in 2027. The live pilot cohort comes first, with the self-paced course following three months later. The first cohort is a pilot at £299 (usual price £597) in return for feedback. Exact dates and pilot booking details will be announced. Registering interest is not a booking.

Do I need to complete Know Your Design first?

The main route follows Know Your Design and Finding Your Purpose. If you have completed Know Your Design and already lead others, there is a direct-entry route with a working purpose line. If you have not taken Know Your Design, you may enter after the Foundational Values Assessment and a design recap. Ask us about the route that fits.

How do the six weeks work?

There are nine 90-minute live sessions: Session 0 and eight modules. There are two sessions a week in Weeks 1 to 3, then one a week in Weeks 4 to 6. Short recorded lessons come before the live sessions. A 60-minute Day 30 review follows Module 8, with an online Day 90 check-in after the course.

What is included in self-paced learning?

The recorded lessons, Participant Workbook, Personal Leadership Score, capstone marking and a certificate of completion when you meet the requirements. You keep access for 12 months and can join one live online Q&A a month.

How do I earn the certificate?

Complete the required learning and worksheets, meet the capstone portfolio requirements and take the Day 30 Personal Leadership Score retake. Live learners also meet the attendance requirement. The award is a Life Assess Certificate of Completion, not an Ofqual-regulated qualification. The programme is not currently externally accredited.

Are there concession places?

Yes. Two half-price concession places are available per cohort. Mention your interest in a concession place when you contact us. Availability and arrangements will be confirmed before booking.

Is this therapy or a performance test?

No. This is a personal development programme, not therapy or crisis support. Your Personal Leadership Score and reflections are private by default. Scores are not a public ranking.

What is the minimum age?

Lead You First is for adults aged 18 and over.

Can my organisation book an in-house version?

There is no in-house corporate version at launch. The launch options are the live cohort and, three months later, the self-paced course.

Is facilitator training available?

After the pilot, a one-day Lead You First facilitator add-on will be available at £295 for facilitators already licensed for both Know Your Design and Finding Your Purpose. Training dates will be confirmed.

What are the refund terms?

A full refund is available within 14 days of buying. After that, you can transfer to another cohort. Nothing is charged when you register interest.
