The problem

Most people approach purpose from the wrong end, beginning with options: what pays, what is in demand, what others are doing.

  • Whose path am I copying?
  • What do I actually value?
  • What do I do well without borrowing a method?
  • What is my design for in my work?

Asked first, those outer questions produce lives that look reasonable from the outside and feel borrowed on the inside. Know Your Design starts with who you are built to be, then what that purpose is for.

How it works

One curriculum. The live cohort holds the work over about six weeks. The same eight modules also form a self-paced course.

    Welcome and orientation

    How the discovery journal works, the ground rules and the first look at the path you may have copied.

  2. Modules 1 to 5

    Read the design

    Name the wrong search, then gather values, gifts and your Purpose Portrait as scored evidence, not preference.

  3. Modules 6 to 8

    Write, use and move

    One design sentence tested against a real decision, purpose stated as use in your work and one dated first move.

How the work is held

  1. The wrong search

    Why copying a path feels like purpose and is not. Name one decision made from someone else’s script.

  2. Design before goals

    Values, gifts and limits as raw material. Diagnosis before prescription.

  3. Values

    What they protect when it costs them. Name your strongest values from evidence and one cost story.

  4. Gifts

    What you do well without borrowing someone else’s method and how your values direct those gifts.

  5. Purpose Portrait

    The role you keep being drawn into: a lead and supporting portrait from a score, with shadow and practice.

Part II Write, use and move Modules 6 to 8

  1. The sentence

    One statement of design, tested against a real decision you face now.

  2. Purpose as use

    What the design is for in your work, the people it serves and the problem it answers, not as a slogan.

  3. The first move

    One change in the next 30 days that only this design would make. The sentence is read aloud at the close.

Who it is for

Know Your Design is a general-market programme for people looking for purpose and meaning.

Not the buyer for this line: a senior executive or founder whose problem is the plateau after success. That buyer is offered a different Life Assess intensive. The minimum age for participants is 16.

Format

The first cohort starts straight after the Strategic Life Plan Programme (SLPP) cohort. Dates will be announced.

    Live online sessions, one a week, with an orientation week before and a 30-day and 90-day follow-up after.

  • Recorded lessons first

    Each module’s recorded lesson is watched before the live session, so live time is spent testing, not lecturing.

  • Participant Workbook

    Worksheets, reflection pages and journal space for Session 0 and Modules 1 to 8.

  • Fully online

    Taught by Elvis C. Umez for the first cohort. Platform details will be announced.

  • Self-paced course

    The same eight modules are also offered as a self-paced course with the assessment and workbook.

  • Price

Life Assess Limited uses these details only to manage your registration of interest and, if you tick the second box, to send you news. Know Your Design is open to people aged 16 and over. You must confirm that on the form. Your form is sent to us by email through our own website code on Cloudflare and our UK email provider, IONOS, the same mechanism as the Strategic Life Plan Programme page. What is Know Your Design?

Do I have to share a faith?

No. A Purpose Portrait is a contribution pattern. It is not a destiny and not a religious office. Scores are private and never interpreted in public.

Will you publish my results?

No. Assessment results are private by default. Scores are never read out in the live sessions.

How much does it cost?
